Join us for the WHS PTA Trunk or Treat + Fall Fest on Saturday, October 24 from 1:00–3:00 PM at Worthington Hooker Upper School!
We’re looking forward to an afternoon of grade-level themed tables, nut-free treats, games, activities, costumes, and fall fun for our K–8 community.
But we need our WHS families to help bring it all to life! 💚
This is a family-powered PTA event, and parent and caregiver involvement is essential to making it successful. We need volunteers from every grade, K–8, to help decorate and staff grade-level tables, host games and activities, assist with setup and cleanup, and provide support throughout the event.
Donations are also greatly needed and appreciated! Families can contribute individually wrapped nut-free treats, non-candy giveaways and small prizes, decorations, and other event supplies.
Whether you can volunteer your time, contribute a donation, or do both, every family that participates helps us create a fuller and more exciting experience for our children.
Please don't wait for someone else to sign up—we need you!

Our after-school Book Worms Club is looking for book donations to help get our young readers started! We are seeking 11 copies of each of the following titles:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
The Tale of Despereaux
Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark
Clementine
How to Donate:
If you would like to donate a new or gently used copy, please reach out to morgan.difrancesco@new-haven.k12.ct.us before dropping them off. Contacting us first helps us keep an updated tally of what we still need and avoids duplicates!

Dot Day is all about creativity, courage, and making your mark. Inspired by the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, students will have fun exploring their creativity and discovering that even the smallest dot can make a difference.

This message is being sent on behalf of our After-School Program (ASP), which begins today!
Ms. Mann has been working diligently to navigate our new Brightwheel platform and process all enrollments. Thank you for your patience.
If you registered your child for the After-School Program or an enrichment activity beginning today, your child is able to attend today. Please check your Brightwheel account for information regarding billing and enrollment approval.
As a reminder, if you registered your child to begin the program today, they may stay for ASP. The program ends promptly at 5:00 PM. Please plan to pick up your child by 5:00 PM.
