Dear Worthington Hooker Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! On behalf of the entire staff, I am thrilled to welcome our returning families back and extend a warm greeting to those joining our school community for the first time. There is a special energy that comes with a fresh school year, and we cannot wait to see our halls filled once again with student laughter, curiosity, and joy.
Building on the incredible foundation of past achievements, our commitment remains stronger than ever: to provide an exceptional educational environment where every student excels academically, grows socially and emotionally, and feels entirely safe and supported.
Our Core Priorities for the Year
Safety First: Ensuring a secure environment is the absolute foundation for learning. We maintain rigorous safety protocols every day so that our school remains a safe haven for all children.
Academic Excellence: We continue to elevate our instructional standards, encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong passion for learning in every classroom.
Social-Emotional Growth: Nurturing the whole child is at the heart of what we do. We prioritize building strong relationships, resilience, and empathy to help our students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Important: Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
To ensure a smooth and safe transition during the busiest times of day, please review the attached Opening of School Arrival and Dismissal Document prior to the first day of school.
Arrival: Please adhere strictly to designated drop-off zones and times to keep traffic moving safely.
Dismissal: Ensure your child's teacher is aware of their regular dismissal routine, and bring proper identification when picking up students. Please complete this Google Form in regards to your child's dismissal plan.
Patience & Caution: Traffic around the school grounds will be heavy during the first week. Please drive slowly and keep an eye out for our walking students and families.
Thank you for your continued partnership, dedication, and trust. Together, we are going to make this school year our best one yet!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Campo & Mrs. Thomas

A Welcome Message from Principal Cara Campo

Eden is, without question, one of the most dedicated continuous learners I have ever known. Even with her extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience, she approaches each day with curiosity, humility, and a desire to grow. Her commitment to learning serves as an example to all of us and reminds us that great educators never stop being students themselves.
What has always impressed me most about Eden is her unwavering loyalty and modesty. She never seeks recognition or attention. Instead, she quietly and consistently does what is best for students, colleagues, and our school community. Her actions speak far louder than words ever could, and her character stands as a pillar of excellence for all who have had the privilege of working alongside her.
There is little to no deviation in Dr. Stein’s classroom, regardless of the time of year or day. Whether it is the first week of school, the last day in June, the beginning of the morning, or the final moments before dismissal, it is abundantly clear that she is prepared, organized, and intentional. Students know what is expected of them because she has created an environment built on consistency, respect, and high expectations. Her classroom is a model of what effective teaching looks like.
Beyond her professionalism, Eden leads with compassion and care. She takes on responsibilities quietly, never looking for applause, simply ensuring that things get done and that students have the experiences they deserve. One example that perfectly captures who she is is her willingness to participate in Nature’s Classroom. While many of us appreciate the experience from a distance, Eden willingly sleeps above a bunk bed at Natures Classroom and embraces every challenge to ensure our students have a memorable, meaningful experience—one they will carry with them long after they leave our school.
Eden’s impact extends far beyond the walls of her classroom. Through her dedication, kindness, reliability, and unwavering commitment to children, she has touched countless lives. She represents the very best of our profession, and our school is stronger because of her presence.
Dr. Stein, thank you for your service, your leadership, your example, and your heart. The legacy you leave behind is not simply measured by years of teaching, but by the countless students, colleagues, and families whose lives are better because of you.
Mrs. Gethings

On Tuesday, our 8th graders traded yearbook signatures and enjoyed pizza slices outside - the perfect picnic send-off for a wonderful class before they move on to high school!
